Amberly’s Place is staffed by highly trained professionals who specialize in trauma-informed response and victim advocacy. When hospital services are not required, Yuma Fire Department is approved to transport victims directly to Amberly’s Place, ensuring they are brought to a safe, supportive environment without unnecessary delays. Our trained forensic interviewers conduct coordinated interviews in a way that prevents victims from having to repeatedly recount their experience—allowing them to share their story once, reducing re-traumatization, and prioritizing their well-being.

People come to Amberly’s Place through referrals from community service providers, the Department of Child Safety, law enforcement, or by reaching out on their own
